Pay it forward
You all remember the movie "Pay it forward", right? Let's all apply this to our lives. It does not even need to cost a dime! What can you do that might make someone's day better? Put the newspaper on the door step of an elderly neighbor, pick up some trash at the park and put it in the trash can, etc. A few years back when my husband and I were moving we went through the McDonald's drive thru and when we got up to the window the clerk told us that the car in front of us paid for it and said to have a great day. I have no idea who is was or why they did it, but I will tell you it will stick with me the rest of my life. Try it this week and we would all love to hear what you have done. Let's inspire one another.

Make a vision board this weekend.
I am sure many of you have read "The Secret" and have thought about making a vision board...do it!!! To make it easy, go to google images and print out things you want to add to your board (a home, a vacation destination, a car, love, etc). I made mine last year and one of mine happened today!!! Spend a half hour inspiring yourself.

LAUGH TODAY! Here's a start...
A wealthy man came home from a gambling trip and told his wife that he had lost their entire fortune and that they'd have to drastically alter their life-style.
"If you'll just learn to cook," he said, "we can fire the chef."
"Okay," she said. "And if you learn how to make love, we can fire the gardener."
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." ~e.e. cummings

Papa Leon's gratitude from CITY OF HOPE
This video file is too large for me to email to family in Hawaii, so I'm putting on the S.O.S. blog so they can view it. If anybody else is interested in gifting my father in law with a note of encouragement or a small gift card for my mother in law let me know. My family and I have been mailing little things here and there (mc donalds/starbucks/trader joes cards) and their appreciation is unmeasureable. My mother in law is trying to hold down her job and hang onto thier house in Temecula while visititing him in city of hope every chance she gets.

Do something!
“Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.” Oprah Winfrey.
Do one thing daily that will make someone smile!! Need some encouragment? Even if you do not believe in war, we as US citizens need to support our troops!!!! We have a great family family who is over there right now. Take a few minutes to send him and his buddies a note or better yet get your kids or neighbors kids to do it. This is Rob:

I need your creative and business minds...
Weekend Challenge
Simplify one drawer. Just one. Get rid of anything that has a stain, rip, is too short, not flattering, or doesn't make you feel good. That may not leave anything in my drawer :) ~Melanie
We all need a little funny haha
Melanie bought Jen and I beautiful plants the night of our SOS inception. When I woke up in the morning the plant was missing from the front patio, I was crushed!! I walked up and down the street looking for my beloved plant and no luck. When I woke up this morning my hubby was so excited to show me something...
He thought it would be nice to surprise me with the plant put in a pot I made. Moral of the story...things are not always as they seem. Take a step back once in a while and wait it out.
